CORTITROL BY NUSKIN

Cortitrol

Are you worrying yourself sick dealing with stressful situations throughout the day? Are you restless, tired, getting less than eight hours of sleep every night, or generally run-down? Are you dieting and trying to lose weight? Are you lacking mental focus and performing at sub-optimal levels? If so, you may also suffer from elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol, a necessary compound for the restoration of depleted energy stores, is produced by your body in response to stressful events. The occasional release of this "fight-or-flight" hormone is essential to our ability to respond to emergency situations, but too much cortisol in response to the daily stresses of our increasingly hectic and busy lives leads us into a downward spiral of health problems. Health experts in past decades have identified key deterrents to living healthily. In the 1980s it was elevated cholesterol and its role in the development of heart disease. In the early '90s it was free radicals and their effect on disease progression and ageing. Researchers today are discovering cortisol is the next principal deterrent to good health. Numerous studies demonstrate prolonged exposure to cortisol is associated with numerous health issues.

The Cortitrol™ Advantage
Most people attempt to control stress and can spend a lot of money doing so. Cortitrol is a unique dietary supplement that can help you without negatively altering energy levels or cognitive function. Cortitrol is a patent-pending product with a proprietary blend of ingredients that have been shown to modulate cortisol levels. Cortitrol promotes relaxation.
• Usage
As a dietary supplement, take two to three tablets daily. Take two (2) tablets with 250 mL of liquid with your evening meal. For optimal results, take an additional one (1) tablet with 250 mL of liquid with your morning meal.
• Ingredients
o Theanine, a proprietary ingredient extracted from green tea leaves, increases the production of brain alpha waves, which are believed to be an index of relaxation. Theanine has been found to induce relaxation possibly through its effects on serotonin, dopamine, and other neurotransmitters.
o Epimedium is a medicinal herb and its use dates back to at least 400AD. Epimedium may help decrease elevated blood cortisol levels. The Epimedium used in Cortitrol is standardised to a compound known as icariin and uses a water extraction process similar to the traditionally used material. In a series of studies by Chinese researchers, it was found that an epimedium extract reduced high blood levels of cortisol in humans.
